Onsite Coordinator (Temporary to Permanent)
About Our Client
Our client is a food manufacturing facility that is NUT FREE and has been making delicious varieties of crackers for over 30 years. They have three different facilities that are very busy, with a 24 hour operation – this requires the need for a large Human Resources Team. We are looking for two Onsite Coordinators to represent Vertical and our client.
*Please note that this is a contract position for 3-4 months – with the potential of being hired permanently, but this is not guaranteed*
What You Will Be Doing, as an Onsite Coordinator:
- Greet and welcome the new employees (operations) as soon as they arrive to the plant.
- Conduct and perform new hire orientation and onboarding sessions, with safety tour as priority.
- Assign the lockers to the new employees.
- Ensure employees enrollments on ADP.
- Take daily employee attendance during the shift.
- Update Crew list daily.
- Arrange employees (operations) coverages when needed.
- Communicate with agencies for employees (operations)coverages.
- Process and communicate documentation related to personnel attendance and performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly shift reports.
- Conduct monthly performance evaluation for employees.
- Enforce safety rules and company policies during the shift.
- Update the trackers related to the list of people on LOA, maternity, list of temporary associates, etc.
- Manage effective inter-departmental and intra-departmental communication.
- Process disciplinary procedure with employees not adhering to workplace compliance.
- Assist employees process requests for documents (Employee Reference Letters, employment letter, Shift Transfers, etc.)
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties in your shift.
- Other duties as assigned
- YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WEAR ANY JEWELLERY (even if it is permanent, it will need to be removed)
- NO FAKE NAILS/HAIR/LASHES
- NUT FREE FACILITY – cannot even bring nut products in your lunch
What You Should Have, as an Onsite Coordinator:
- Previous experience in recruitment, payroll and/or benefit administration an asset
- Good understanding knowledge of Human Resources principles and best practices
- Advanced computer knowledge including HRIS and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, and organizational skills
- Must be great at multi tasking
- Customer service attitude is a MUST
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources is an asset but not required
- Must NOT wear any jewelry, piercings, false nails, false eyelashes etc.
In Return, You Will Receive:
- $20.50 hourly
- Paid weekly, every Friday
- Opportunity for permanent hire
- 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
- Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends
The Shift You Will be Working is:
- Full time, Monday to Friday
- Afternoons: 11PM – 7AM

- Two locations, Cambridge area (you choose one)
